Leaves are moved out of agreed beds and tight areas before the open lawn is finished. Sticks and other unsuitable debris are separated where needed so the selected mulching or collection method can work efficiently.
We tidy the agreed work areas and hard surfaces and check the finished lawn for remaining heavy piles. Leaf fall continues through the season, so fresh leaves after a visit may call for another scheduled cleanup.
Finely shredded leaves add organic matter as they decompose and return nutrients to the soil over time. Keeping suitable leaves on site also reduces the material that needs loading and hauling. We aim for small pieces that settle between the grass blades, with the lawn still visible—not a thick layer covering the turf.
Mulching is a good option when the volume and conditions are right. Heavy, wet piles may need collection first, and a combination of mulching and removal can give a better finish.
