CLEAR EXPECTATIONS BEFORE WORK BEGINS

Service terms
& payment policies

Southern Cutz Lawn & Landscaping LLC • Updated November 4, 2026. Please review these policies with your written quote before approving new work.

At a glance

  • Landscape deposit: 50% upfront.
  • Final payment: due the same day work is completed.
  • Project changes or cancellation: at least 24 hours’ notice.
  • Seasonal recurring lawn maintenance: at least seven calendar days’ notice.

1. Written scope and approval

Your quote identifies the property, work areas, services, materials, disposal arrangements and price. Review the quote and these terms before accepting new work. Sending an estimate request or browsing this website does not book service, authorize a charge or approve a project.

Any change to the work, materials or price needs your approval before the additional work begins. If a project-specific written agreement expressly sets different terms, that agreement governs to the extent permitted by law. These policies do not retroactively change an existing agreement.

2. Landscape project deposit

Landscape projects require a deposit of 50% of the agreed project total upfront, before the project begins. The deposit is credited toward the total price; it is not an additional fee. The remaining balance is due the same day the agreed work is completed. Confirm the scope, total and deposit amount in your written quote before paying.

3. Payment methods and due date

We accept cash and secure online payments through Stripe. Payment for lawn maintenance and other services is due the same day the service is completed. For landscape projects, the balance remaining after the deposit is due the same day project work is completed. Payment instructions will appear in your quote or invoice.

If you have a concern about the work or an invoice, contact Caleb promptly with the details so it can be addressed. Any alternative payment arrangement must be agreed in writing.

4. Projects and one-time services: 24 hours’ notice

Give at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time to cancel or reschedule a project or one-time service. If a start window is provided, count back from the beginning of that window. Changes depend on availability; a replacement date is confirmed separately.

5. Lawn maintenance during lawn season: seven days’ notice

During the active lawn season covered by your recurring service schedule, give at least seven calendar days’ notice before the affected scheduled visit to cancel, pause, skip or change recurring lawn maintenance. The seven-day requirement takes priority over the general 24-hour rule for these visits.

For example, to cancel a visit scheduled for next Tuesday, send notice no later than the same time on the Tuesday before it. To end recurring service, tell us your requested final service date. Ask Caleb to confirm the affected visits and any remaining balance.

6. How to give notice

Send a text to 252-801-0142 or email Southerncutzlawn21@gmail.com. Include your name, property address, affected service date and whether you are canceling one visit, requesting a change or ending recurring service. If you call, follow up by text or email so there is a written record.

Please request confirmation. We use the time your notice reaches the listed text number or email inbox, rather than the time we reply, to assess notice. If you do not receive a reply, call to make sure the request was received. A website estimate form, social media comment or message to a different account is not the designated cancellation channel. This does not restrict any notice method or deadline provided by law.

7. Late notice, deposits and refunds

If your plans change after a notice deadline, contact Caleb immediately. We will review the job status, any work already completed, materials already ordered and the options for rescheduling. A deposit is not automatically forfeited simply because notice is late. Any cancellation charge, material commitment or refund arrangement must be explained in your accepted project agreement and remain subject to applicable law.

Canceling future service does not erase amounts properly due for work already completed. These general website policies do not establish an automatic late-cancellation fee, full-season charge or nonrefundable deposit.

8. Weather, access and safety

Rain, saturated ground, unsafe conditions and other circumstances outside our control can affect a route or project date. We may adjust scheduling to protect your property and allow safe work. A weather or safety change initiated by Southern Cutz is not treated as a customer cancellation. We will coordinate a revised service date.

Please provide agreed gate access, secure pets, remove toys and pet waste, and identify hidden obstacles or areas that must be avoided. If access is unavailable, contact Caleb to agree on the next step.

9. November 2026 fall cleanup offer

Fall cleanup jobs must be booked and completed November 1–30, 2026 to receive 15% off. The offer cannot be combined with other discounts. Scheduling is subject to availability. The written quote will show the scope, discount and total.

10. Your cancellation rights

Nothing in these policies limits a cancellation, refund or other consumer right that applies under North Carolina or federal law. If a transaction requires a specific cancellation notice or form, it must be supplied with the applicable agreement. Legally required rights and deadlines take priority over the routine scheduling rules above.
